Replacement Filters and Activated Carbon Refills
An extractor or purifier is only a control while its filters are working, which is why we keep a replacement filter for every unit we supply in stock and sell activated carbon by weight. Carbon holds vapour and odour on its surface and stops when that surface is full; a quantity of granular carbon lasts in proportion to how much of it there is, which a thin impregnated pad cannot match.
Refills come in the weights the units take: 0.5kg for the desktop extractor, 1kg for the Desktop Pro, and 3.5kg for the Home Pro and Salon Pro units, listed at £9.99, £19.99 and £39.99 at the time of writing. Alongside them are the particulate and unit-specific filters for the in-desk and on-desk nail dust extractors, the wall-mounted salon and home units, the No More Monomer extractor, the Vortex spray tanning extractor and the Flexzorb re-usable masks.
HSE's nail bar sheet SR13 asks salons to maintain equipment as the manufacturer advises and to keep a log of parts replacement - the date of each filter change belongs next to the extraction's thorough examination report. How often to change a carbon filter explains how to set the interval for your own hours. Not sure which filter fits your unit? Call 01892 750777.
