Desktop Pro carbon refill - 1kg
This is the activated carbon refill for the Desktop Pro extractor: one kilogram of granular carbon, listed at £19.99 at the time of writing. Carbon holds monomer vapour and odour on its surface and stops working when that surface is full, so the weight of carbon in the unit is what decides how long it keeps working - one reason we sell refills by weight rather than as a thin impregnated pad.
Change it on the manufacturer's schedule for your hours, and sooner if the monomer smell that used to disappear starts lingering. Write the date in your maintenance log: HSE's nail bar guidance asks for a record of parts replacement alongside the extraction's thorough examination report. 1 Kg of Activated Carbon specifically developed for use in small salons or mobile operations to remove the fumes and smells associated with nail and hair products. This is the required carbon for use in the Ravair Desktop Pro Extractor. Use of other carbon will reduce the effectiveness of the extractor and void your warranty.

How to use:
- Carbon must be changed every 8 weeks to keep the Anti-Viral Flexzorb Filter fully effective
- Ravair Ltd recommend buying a small hand held vacuum hoover such as a car hoover to hoover the top grill after every client so that the Anti- Viral Filter does not get full of Dust. Take the filter out and hoover at the end of each day.
- Remember to sanitise the lid of the unit and your worktop after every client. This will help protect you and your client and give them confidence to return to you time after time.
